Business Process Improvement
LRI designs and manages planning processes to help organizations improve their business effectiveness and efficiency. These business process improvement engagements vary widely. Examples include developing a new patient care management system for a hospital, developing a design review process for an architectural firm, creating a project-based financial tracking system for a public agency, and integrating credit card products and marketing channels for a major financial institution.
Typically these assignments involve multiple employee teams and stakeholder groups. Our value is in knowing how to design and manage processes that enable cross-functional teams to agree on a plan for change and to implement that plan successfully.
We begin by conducting a situation analysis, interviewing people both inside and outside the organization. This may include senior management, mid-level managers, employees, customers and others.
We then synthesize the findings into a coherent and insightful picture of both the current state of the organization and the outcomes desired. We present this analysis to the client, along with our recommendations.
The next step is to work closely with the client to prioritize the recommendations and identify the end result desired - and build ownership for change. This is a critical point - and one where LRI's expertise and experience are invaluable. We understand the difference between "hollow" championship and a plan that is owned and ready to be implemented.
Once the end result is clearly identified, we help our clients develop a detailed implementation plan for achieving it. Using a skillful blend of facilitation, organizational planning, research, and other skills, we manage the implementation process and ensure ownership of the change by all relevant stakeholders of the organization.
